As an amateur golfer who started playing in his late 30’s and tried a traditional set of clubs first, I can confidently say that 1Iron clubs are a total game-changer. The single-length concept makes the game so much more consistent and intuitive. Every club feels the same in your hands, which has drastically improved my ball striking and overall confidence on the course.
The quality of the build is exceptional — solid feel, sleek design, and excellent control. My distance gaps are now predictable, and I’m hitting straighter, more accurate shots across the board. What really surprised me was how quickly I adapted; it took only a few rounds to start seeing results.
If you’re an amateur looking to simplify your swing and play better golf without overhauling your entire technique, I can’t recommend 1Iron enough. It’s not just a set of clubs — it’s a smarter way to play the game.
Could not be more pleased with the 1Iron set of clubs. Love the feel and anxiously waiting for play time. Only have range time so far with the cold spring in Ohio. Thanks David
These clubs came in perfect condition and it’s hard to believe they were used in any way. They looked brand new when I received them and had no marks at all.
The Performance is excellent, even with the learning curve. I’ve taken them to the range three times (concrete and rubber mats unfortunately) and out on the course once (which had a grass range of 120yards for short game practice).
I’m still having some trouble with the distance irons (3i & 4i which are 17 & 21 degree lofts!!!!) and after talking with Dave Lake the owner of 1 Iron Golf (how many times has the owner of a company ever “called you” up after a purchase to talk with you? Dave truly cares about us playing better golf) I feel confident that all I need to do is work through the learning curve with the advice Dave gave to me and those clubs will perform just as well as the others.
The clubs fly high and long.
I used to play variable length forged blades and was able to hit my 4i (24 degree loft) so I haven’t lost anything with the 1 Iron Golf clubs being that my 1 Iron Golf 5i is 24 degrees; and flys beautifully.
The driver is longer in yardage with a slightly shorter shaft than what I was playing (with the same lofts). It’s the same story with the 3 wood, more distance with a shorter club length and similar lofts. I never had a problem with distance before but now I may have to club down on some holes!!! In fact all the clubs played a bit longer but I attribute some of that to the lofts being pushed a bit. The other factor being all the clubs swing the same and that makes them super comfortable as well as repeatable.
The clubs work great for my swing as I set up to every shot with the same ball position so single length clubs feel much better to me, and I was surprised at how quickly my old clubs felt awkward in comparison.
The jumbo grips, game improvement shape of the club heads, and smaller iron shafts all felt and looked odd at first. But after using them and feeling how comfortable the clubs are I see their beauty and really am more than happy with all of these features. Aesthetically they are very pleasing to my eye even after playing a beautiful set of gunmetal blades.
I can shape shots left and right with the low bounce and wide soles, that also allow for all of the specialty shots you could want around the greens.
1 Iron Golf clubs are a quality product designed to help us play our best golf comfortably. Period.
I am very happy with my new clubs and am very excited to get back out on the course after dialing in my distances and all the available wedge shots.
I ordered the Used/Demo set (GW-4 Iron) and I was amazed at the condition they came in. They looked brand new and I would have never known that they had been used before. I also like the larger grips that come on the clubs.
As far as playing, my first range session went great. I noticed that my shots were going consistently straighter, though I didn’t really track distance so I don’t know how much differently I was hitting them from my original clubs. I still am struggling a bit with the “longer” irons like my 4 and 5, but I’m fairly certain it is my fault. I know that I will eventually be able to be more consistent with them as I get used to the swing more.
Overall, I am very happy with these irons. They came in great condition and I believe they will benefit my golf game in the long run!
First l would like to address the conversation I had with one of the online reps. Wish I could remember his name but I don't. I live in New England so was hesitant about buying the Regal Irons till I was able to play, due to the warranty, but the sale was going on. The online rep I spoke to suggested I wait till the end of March since it takes about 10 -14 business days to make then ship the clubs. When I returned to the website at the end of March, I was surprised to find out the sale was over and the clubs went back to regular price. When the online rep came on to see if I needed any help, I told the rep about how I was told to wait till the end of March to get the warranty to work for me. Also stated that I was disappointed that I was told this since the sale was now over. It so happened that I was speaking to the exact online rep who told me to wait, remembered our conversation and said the company would give me the sale price if I ordered the clubs that day. I bought the Regal Irons. They have come in but have not had the change to try them out. But I will say, they are some "fancy" looking club. I have swung them a few time in the basement, and they do feel nice. Will give another review when I get a few rounds in.
This is only the second new set of irons I've ever bought, always bought used. They look great, and I've only played 9 holes with them, they seem to hit good. BUT, what are you thinking to not put the number iron on the head?? I was livid! I don't want to know the degrees of loft, I want to look and grab my 7 iron, or whatever!! Unbelievable.
Hi Joseph! We are glad to hear they are working for you! Today there is no standard degree for iron numbers between brands. Consequently, if you line up every manufacturer's #7 iron you will hit them at different distances. So unfortunately, club numbering is arbitrary, the loft angle is the true comparison. What we are concerned with is your consistent swing, whether you have to club up or club down for distance is irrelevant to achieve it. We break it down for you here. https://1irongolf.com/pages/the-truth-about-golf-club-loft-angles and here is a video as well: https://youtu.be/TUrwzoWDaXE?si=zmiVJYSqE4D3gOcG. We include distance clips to help with the transition from numbers to loft angles--find your distance for an iron at the range or course and clip the club with the correct distance number. Since our loft angle progression is exactly 4º difference between irons, you will have a 10 yard distance gap between irons. If you know the distance with just one of our irons, simply add or subtract 10 yards as you go up and down in loft. It takes a couple of rounds to get used to, but once you do, you'll have no problem grabbing your 35º and calling it a 7-iron if you'd like to give it that name. :)
I have not had the opportunity to use my new clubs yet, but I am stunned by how they appear. Nothing indicates these were ever used, that is how nice they look. My one suggestion, which I already sent David’s way is that each set of clubs should have a One Iron Golf bag towel included. They are beautiful and I want to yell from the rafters!!!
Getting used to he clubs being same length. I expect the clubs to definitely improve my game.
Just got the club's for my wife and I and really like them. David's videos help a lot and we have been practicing at home and on the range and seeing good progress on our swings!
As you can guess, I live in upstate NY, and golf is not taking place at this time. I have been able to hit my new irons into the net and so far things seem to look good. Good strike pattern on all the irons, easy to find the ball with all the clubs, and start target is good. More to come later.
Customer service was fantastic and was able to provide a quote right away. Product came as expected and plays fantastic.
These clubs, though it took some time to get used to them, have simplified my golf game and made me better. Thanks!
I was a little wary ordering these clubs but I have to say I really like them. Once I figured out which club was equal to my other clubs in distance but not necessarily by number it was easier to play. It was worth the investment.
I order a used set of blackstone irons and they were prefect, with head covers and all. So pleased.
My experience has been as expected or better. My order processed, clubs assembled/gripped, and shipped much faster than expected. The clubs arrived in like new condition, not a scuff on them. If I was to do anything different, it would be that I might order them a little longer, but that's just a preference in feel thing. At 43 yrs old, I can, and have been just fine, with them. However, my dad 65, felt that he was bent over more than his back was comfortable with. I have had a chance to play 3 rounds with them, but almost no range time. As I use them I am definitely getting more comfortable with them. So far I'm very happy.
