For over 25 years our 1 Irons have been the industry standard for Single-Length golf club design and performance. There is no substitute for experience! Our iron lines are not built for any particular handicap, age, or skill level. Capitalize on precision and accurate shot making with the Blackstones. Proper clubface alignment at address is everything when it comes to dropping approach shots on the pin. Alignment being off by only 1º or 2º either way means adding an extra 8 to 15 feet to your birdie putt. The Blackstone's bright white scoring lines against the black PVD background makes club-face alignment exact and automatic at address. With a set of Blackstones you will find a lot more birdies on the golf course. Click here for all our Blackstone Line offerings.
- Custom Built: Used/Demo Irons are STILL custom built to ensure they are in excellent condition. Custom built single-length irons fitted based upon your wrist-to-floor measurement. All Blackstone Irons come with head covers. Distance clips are included in all Used/Demo Blackstone Iron Sets. Conforms with the Rules of Golf and built in the USA.
- Shaft: Shafted with our proprietary Black Steel shafts for zero glare and extreme tour performance with shaft flex plane orientation (Spine Align/Puring), and identical shaft flex throughout the set.
- Clubhead: Loft angles instead of club numbering for precise distance control with bright white scoring lines for precise clubface alignment at address. State of the art precision face and sole grinding. The deep undercut rear cavity produces a low center of gravity for maximum trajectory and distance with identical swing-weight and moment of inertia (MOI) throughout the set.
- Finish: Black PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) finish for zero glare at address. PVD finish produces a harder surface for extra ball compression and greater distance. Bright white scoring lines for precise clubface alignment at address.
- Grips: Installed with Lamkin PermaWrap Classic 1/8" oversize grips.
- Experience: Enjoy greater consistency with a custom built set of single length irons and woods. Being in business for over 25 years we have perfected single length play. Ditch convention for common sense.
I now had my used/demo Blackstone irons for about 6 weeks. That has given me time to get in 14+ rounds of golf (I mostly play 9 holes). I waited to write this review until I felt I could adjust to the new irons.
Pros
1. Looked like new clubs. Did not see any scratches on them.
2. Very good quality grips
3. The same feel for all my 8 irons. It does take some adjustment. I found myself moving the ball placement around depending on whether I thought I had a 9 or 3 iron.
4. It has help with my consistency now that I feel more comfortable with them.
5. My distance gap between clubs is more consistent. I now just use 10 yards as the standard.
6. When I hit a “flush” shot it feels great.
7. I like the black coating with white grooves, it helps with alignment
8. Now that I have adjusted I feel l as comfortable hitting the 19 degree as I do the 47.
Cons
1. Distance clips. For me this was important to make the adjustment to using degrees and not iron numbers. The color for the distance wear off quickly.
2. I do not feel that they are as forgiving.
3. I do not feel I can shape my shots as much.
4. The biggest adjustment was seeing my new “6” iron go 25 yards less my old one. My old one was had a stronger loft that made the difference. Compare loft angles not iron numbers.
Suggestions
1. The white groves get dirty easily so carry a wet towel and brush with you.
2. I kept my old lob and gap wedges in my bag. I may change those later.
3. Adjusting to ball placement being the same. After a few weeks this becomes a positive.
It is the middle of winter and my course does not have lot of grass this time of the year. This means that the fairways are not in the best of conditions. Even with conditions I am having some of my lowest scores of the year. I believe this because I am more comfortable with my distances. I don’t even think about what iron number I want but I consider only the distance. I know that each club is 10 yards longer. I know my swing is the same no matter the club. I plan on using the irons for at least another 3 months before making a final decision but at present I believe these to be in my bag for a long time.
Just got them. Took 7 days just like was told. After unwrapping them, I looked over the clubs and for a demo set? They are in perfect shape. Not a mark on any of the clubs where they’ve been played with. They were wrapped up just like new clubs. So the only difference between paying a $1,000 to paying $559 is you can return them???? I sold my old set of clubs so this will make me learn to use the same length clubs. We are still snowed in and freezing weather, so I’m looking forward to being able to hit them and see how I do. So far I like the weight and feel of the 1 irons. Thank you for your service and help with explaining them.
